Christmas Eve we enjoyed walking around the Mesilla Plaza after church, and a late dinner at Andele's.  Christmas morning, Barrow was excited to find NBA2K, NHL 2014 and Madden 2015 among his gifts!

New Mexico Farm and Ranch Museum's Christmas in the Past 2014 show.  Barrow was a 60's guy protesting the Vietnam war.  He did a great job!
He graduated to a decisive 2nd gup!
Barrow competed in the speech contest at Sierra Middle School - "If I could change one thing in the world".  He chose ending mental illness by educating people about mental illness so that changes could be made to help people who suffer from the disease.

We spent Thanksgiving with Mimi and Dick Daddy in Red River.  We enjoyed hanging out in the cabin, and walking around in Taos.  After our Thanksgiving meal, we enjoyed the annual lighting of the tree in downtown Red River.  Barrow spent a good bit of the vacation filming for his media class.

2014 Sierra Falcons 6th grade team...Go Falcons!!!  They had a great year, making it to the playoffs, but losing their last game before the championship!

Barrow played offense for Sierra in their first playoff game against Picacho Middle School.
Las Cruces' biggest game of the year in the NMSU stadium - Mayfield 28-Las Cruces 27!

After his game, he and dad enjoyed another Aggie game.
It was great to have dad helping coach the team.
Barrow's last game was against Zia Middle School.
It was dark in the front lawn, but if you look closely, you will see Barrow, the deatheater, laying on the grass.  He filled the roles of wizard, pumkin and deatheater very well!
There was also a talking pumpkin!

Barrow placed 3rd in the 6th grade speech contest.  He gave his speech to the entire grade at the Character counts assembly!

They had a great time together, and enjoyed getting to know other students in the 6th grade media group.
Before heading home, they filmed their trailer for the movie - Z for Zechariah.  Barrow stared as Mr. Lomas.
The also played on the climbing wall, shot rifles, and went horseback riding.
In the afternoon, they did more challenging activities, including rappelling!
They learned a lot about working together.
The next day, they did 2 group team building activities in the morning.
That night they began work on their movie trailer, then learned to square dance.
The first day, the students did several challenge activities.  Barrow did the giant swing, the alpine tower and the waterslide.
Barrow's class took a field trip to Lone Tree Ranch.  They stopped at the petroglyphs along the way!
